WORLDVIEW BLOG- problems with the naturalistic explanation of life

The naturalistic biological view claims the process of evolution as its explanation for life. This philosophical/ biological theory uses evolution to fit a worldview where no God exits. It is simply the naturalistic world, hence "naturalism". Although this theory is severely littered with problems, here are some of the major ones:
Firstly, when someone refers to evolution, they are mostly likely referring to macroevolution which is utterly impossible. Microevolution on the other hand, has been proven true, in that within a species, certain characteristics or physical traits may be shifted according to surrounding circumstances, this is simply adapting. The problem lies however, in naturalism attempting to apply this "survival of the fittest" theory to explain the origin of life. It simply cannot. In the early stages/ beginning of the earth, when it was a huge bubbling sea of "primordial soup", little ancient organisms slowly formed to become the extremely diverse earth we have today. How is this possible? For the second law of thermodynamics clearly outlines that the universe is inevitably going toward destruction, whereas evolution turns it on its head and instead says that the earth came goes from chaos to order. Simply acknowledging the human/ animal aging process refutes this theory! Also, life cannot come from non life. Evolution has tried so many times in the biology/ chemistry realm to loophole this with ridiculous and fraudulent experiments, but time and time again it cannot be done.
Secondly, macroevolution (the evolution I will be describing here) is founded on the idea that each species came about by a series of mutations. But aren't mutations seldom beneficial to organism? Mutations are in fact normally bad or harmful and result in their dying out. To explain a little further, evolutionists use the four winged fruit fly as an example "good" mutations, however, this normally two winged organism is unable to use its second pair because of a lack of associated muscles and therefore it dies rapidly in its enclosed laboratory environment because of its inability to fly. As a result, this hopeless cripple of a bug has no ability to reproduce and would then be selected out according to survival of the fittest/ natural selection because of its experimentally ensued mutation. Another example that the theory that a series of mutations allowed for the many species we have today is false, is the example of antibiotic resistance. When a certain bacteria strain is resistant to antibiotics because of a defect or mutation in genetic code, when the parent is re- introduced, the resistance bacteria is crippled and will disappear because they aren't able to reproduce as fast. This failed attempt of "fitness lost" shows how in reality, these mutated organisms are not kept and developed more into a different species, but in fact  destroyed because they are defected and unable to live and pass on those defective/ mutated genes.
Thirdly, the fossil record that should strongly support evolution, instead lacks in any whatsoever. For example, if a common ancestor by ways of natural selection and mutations slowly evolved into completely different species, there would be different transitional phases to map out this progress. However, these transitional phases cannot be found in any fossil record to wholeheartedly support evolution. To counteract this argument, evolutionists have devised a "theory" of the Cambrian explosion. Instead of slow progress, drawn out over millions and billions of years, these diverse species exploded all at once. Rather than naming them "created", they "exploded" ; which is the naturalists attempt to cover up the overwhelming amount of hard evidence against evolution as a theory for the origin of life from non life. Evolution/ naturalism is not a scientifically grounded belief, but rather an ignorant explanation life without God.

Before November 9th?

Ms. Weisman
Um..... I just saw that we have to do this before the 9th and I am only able to something that takes time (that really would mean something to someone) until after tuesday because this weekend and our short week is packed... I am not sure what to do, I am also wondering why this is due so soon. Time to me is more important that some little post it note thing and that is what I'd like to do for this assigment, I just be a little stubborn right now, but I would like to ask that this assignment's due date be postponed, so that the rest of the class can take time to plan and do something significant in there minds.
I's not sure what to do,
Dani

Positivity Project Assignment

Well.... I will do my little project on either Wednesday or Thursday of next week. I havent checked with my granny, so that is why its not certain. Partly because my grandma is gone in the Philippines and she is the person who for the most part takes of her, and also becuase I love her, I am going to take some time to go to my granny's house and just help out. I will call her withint the next few days to finilized my idea with her. Whether its just chilling around and talking for a bit to just spend of quality time with her or helping out around the house or whatever, I am going to spend some time with her. I don't see my granny very much but she has always been so supportive of me and so generous and becuase I am always so busy, I wanted to take some time out of my day and brighten hers (she is kind of lonely and doesn not do a whole lot). I'm really excited to do this and anticipating the day! :)

Beowolf Class Journal Entry

(I will preface this blog with something like an apology, for my frankness and lack of political correctness because could in fact offend people and that’s ok, but I wanted to at least recognize here, the raw-ness of this post)

What "epic" challenges you?
My challenge is to live with God as my Father, my Lord, and my Savior when the world around me is literally screaming at me to abandon him. I want to live in such a way that truly reflects God, that I am the woman he designed me to be, with it being evident to my surroundings that he is alive and working in and through me. Daily I ask God to use me as a tool that he can use to share his love, joy, and wisdom. I desire to be used by him. He has called me to face this challenge, to fight this world that deifies my emotions instead of rebuking them. I want what I do, what I say, how I respond, and how I conduct myself to be an example of Jesus and his work in me. Another challenge God has called me to face is re-instituting his wonderful plan for marriage and his will for family, back into practice. For in his will lies fullness, their lies stability, for only their lies peace. Although I can't "change the world" and hit people's heads with the backside of  a hand for rebellion, he has placed in me the indescribable passion and dedication to have a marriage and a family that he originally designed for all. One that its foundation is a marriage that is rooted in Christ and dedicated to living by his standards; then raising children who are molded and shaped into stable adults, raised in love and discipline, instead of merely being houseguests.
This is my challenge, my passion, my future.
Criminal justice is truly an intricate part of who I am, and I do so desire to impact that field/ area; and I am assured that that is what God had intended for me. But, I am writing those plans in pencil because God has revealed to me that my priority is family.
The fullness of my future (near and far) is so hard to accurately describe, in person and on paper. It is something that’s so clear to me and so sure, but when it comes to telling of the crazy miraculous things that God has done in me and his perfect orchestration of my passions and life, all words fail. God is so good.
But each day I'm closer. Although some moments, I feel so close that I want to run to the next season of my life, I continue to wait. Each day God is working in me to continue to mold me into the woman he created me to be. Each day.

Personality Test Paragraph

When I first looked at my score I was honestly surprised and immediately concluded it was all wrong. To an extent I still agree with my initial conclusion, however, I do believe that some of the qualities of my ESFJ personality that are correct.
I am a provider, which is one of the types of guardians. I was scored as an Extroverted (78%), Sensing (25%), Feeling (12%) and Judging (67%) person. I definitely agree with the extroverted part and the judging part, in that I love love love spending time with others (friends and family), I am very "happy pappy" for a majority ;) of the time but i am also very realistic and rational when it comes to decisions and "life" stuff. I also agree with the scoring in that I take so much comfort and joy in traditions, friendships and time spent with other people I love. Generally, I agree with the outgoing and caring aspects of the Provider personality.
There are many little things, however, about the Provider that I don't agree are descriptions of myself. For instance, although I do love to spend time with people in social activities, I really could care less about heading up "banquets, class reunions, charity fundraisers, dances etc". Also, even though I am sensitive to the feelings of others, (this is where my realistic side comes in and why my "S" and "F" were only 25% and 12%) its really towards people that I love or can somewhat relate to because most "feeeeeeelings" are unwarranted or irrelevant and should not be so openly shared. In other words, I care about others and what they are going through, but I am not a bag of feelings and recognize where feelings end and stupidity begins ( or where reality needs to kick in).

Paragraphs

Daniella Faulk
Ms. Weisman
Senior English p. 3
24 September 2010
1st Paragraph:
Christianity is “[God’s] statement to us of certain quite unalterable facts about His own nature” (41). C.S Lewis mentions characteristics of the God of Christianity that his “nature” is comprised of. It is important to be familiar (for it is impossible for humanity to fully comprehend) with God’s nature because, it is the foundation on which Christianity rests. Without knowing the character of/ the person of God (?), his nature, the Bible, doctrine, miracles and all other aspects that make up Christianity would be superfluous because each of them (?) point back to Him! So then, what is God’s nature? John declares, “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all” in 1 John 1:5. Therefore, we can conclude that God is a good Goad and cannot associate (?) with evil in any way.

--- I know I cant conclude that he is just and all powerful in that one verse, but I need to conclude that here because I need to use that throughout my essay…. So I may have to re-think this or use a different more comprehensive verse-----

2nd Paragraph:
However, no sooner do we look and discover that the statement defining God as good, is somewhat puzzling because he claims to love and have forgiven all humans, despite their atrocious sin. But if God is truly good, all-powerful and just, would he not be able to approach sin, the antithesis of good. Then does the dichotomy between a good God and evil man traverse the plain of his supposed nature? In addition, if His nature is limited, would that then not lessen his power?

---- I went ahead and added the just and all powerful to my conclusions although I haven’t justified it yet in the previous paragraph. Need help to find away to cohesively and concisely add that in----
